Wednesday, March 31, 2021 Rock Electric Employees Secure Wage Gains with New Contract Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Etobicoke, ON—Local 52 members employed by Rock-Electric Inc., a GTA-based electrical contractor, ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage gains. The 30 members will see their wages increase by $1.25 per hour in the first year of the contract and by $1 per hour in the second and third year. In addition, members gained improvements to travel. “Despite some tough challenges at the table, the union bargaining committee worked hard to find the compromises necessary to get travel improvements our members wanted to see,” says Robert Brink, representative. “Wages were another key priority for the guys, and the increases negotiated keep things moving in the right direction.” You might be interested in Why We Work Safely 5 Jun 2026 Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026
