Wednesday, May 28, 2025 RICO Electricians Unanimously Ratify New Three-Year Contract Local 52 Ratifications Construction MISSISSAUGA, ON—Local 52 electricians and apprentices employed by RICO Electric Inc., an electrical contractor based in Mississauga, Ontario, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement. The new contract provides them with a 14.1 percent total package increase over the term, including an immediate $3 per hour increase to the journeyperson wage rate. It also provides improvements to bereavement leave, lead-hand and foreperson premiums, the meal allowance when working out-of-town, and the premium pay structure. Additionally, the annual boot allowance will increase by $75. The Local 52 members employed by RICO work on construction projects and provide maintenance and repair services to commercial clients throughout Ontario.
