Reporting an Injury to the Workers Compensation Board

Reporting a work-related injury is your responsibility. You should advise your manager or supervisor as soon as possible

Your employer is required to submit a report to the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) within five days of the incident.

If you are hurt at work, you should visit a medical professional and ensure your visit is properly documented.

If your injury results in missed time from work, you must contact WCB directly to report your injury.

You can call WCB Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (except statutory holidays).

Phone: 204-954-4321

Toll-free: 1-855-954-4321

You can do online reporting at this link: Worker Online Incident Report.

WCB has translation services available to help you speak to a WCB representative in the language of your choice.

You can also do the reporting in person or by mail. Download the Worker Incident Report, fill it out, and send it via email or deliver it in-person to the Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba, 333 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB  R3C 4W3.
