Remembering Darrell Duchscher

CLAC is saddened to announce the passing of long-time member Darrell Duchscher on January 28. Darrell was a Local 151 member and was an integral part of CLAC for more than two decades.

At the time of Darrell’s passing, he was the president of the Local 151 board. He worked for PTW Industrial Services (formerly Pyramid Corporation) at the Cargill plant in Clavet, Saskatchewan, for 25 years. He served on many bargaining committees during his time with CLAC, along with being a steward and Local 151 board member.

“Darrell was one of the pioneer CLAC members in Saskatchewan,” says Dennis Perrin, CLAC Prairies director. “Darrell was extremely influential in getting CLAC established in Saskatchewan, and that leadership stayed steadfast until his passing. He was a fine man, and we will miss him dearly.”

Darrell leaves behind a legacy in both his professional and personal life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Dana, and caring father to son, Steven, and daughter, Taylor.
