Reason to Be Proud

Across Manitoba, Local 152 members are getting it done, working on numerous projects throughout the province

You’ve been working hard all winter, braving the wind and the snow and the cold, starting work in the dark, and heading home in the dark. Now the days are getting longer, temperatures are warming, snow is melting and spring is in the air!

As I look around the province at the work that you and your fellow Local 152 members are doing, I am so grateful for your investment in the citizens of this province.

• You are building schools that will educate our children.

• Water treatment plants that will protect our rivers and lakes and keep our drinking water safe and secure.

• Roads that will improve efficiency and safety as we travel.

• Movie theaters where we can enjoy down time.

• Multistorey apartments that will one day be called home for those living in growing cities.

• Communications infrastructure that foster our connection to each other and the information we need at the speed of light.

• And you are harvesting and processing peat moss so that the produce we eat and enjoy can grow healthy and strong.

I’m grateful, and I hope you are proud because you have every reason to be.
