Ratifications

Alder Concrete Group Ltd. and Fritz-Alder Precast Services

Local 6 members employed by these Waterloo-based companies ratified a 2-year agreement providing them with annual increases to vacation pay, pension contributions, and healthcare benefits plus annual 2% wage increases over the term. The settlement also finalized significant restructuring of pension language, travel provisions, and out-of-town work compensation.

BDA Inc.

Local 52 members employed by this Toronto-based general contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing total compensation increases of up to 17.6%, including a 2% increase to retirement contributions and a $100 increase to the boot and tool allowance.

Besseling Mechanical Inc.

Local 6 members employed by this Hamilton-based mechanical contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing annual total package increases of over 3% per year. The settlement also boosts contributions to the health, pension, training, and safety funds while expanding lead-hand and responsibility premiums.

Clarke Construction Inc.

Local 53 members employed by this Chatham-based heavy civil contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with 12% wage increases over the term, 10¢/hr. annual increases to retirement contributions, improvements to life insurance and vision coverage, a $100 increase to the boot allowance, and increases to travel and living-out allowances.

D.D. Mac Electric Ltd.

Local 6 members employed by this Bolton-based electrical contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing total compensation increases of $8.30/hr. over the term, including a 1% pension increase, improved benefits, a 2% lead-hand premium increase, and enhanced training fund contributions.

Dael Thermal Group Inc.

Local 52 members employed by this Concord-based HVAC contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with 13% wage increases over the term, a $200 increase to the boot and clothing allowance, new premium provisions including time-and-a-half for Saturday and night-shift work, an additional 50¢/hr. for out-of-town work, and updated premium structures that better reflect working conditions and scheduling demands.

Dalron Construction Ltd.

Local 52 members employed by this Sudbury-based construction company ratified a 3-year agreement providing annual wage increases of 3% for skilled labourers and 2% for labourers levels 1 to 3. The agreement also raises the annual safety boot reimbursement to $350 and renews existing letters of agreement on red circling and student employment.

Faugh Electric Inc.

Local 6 members employed by this Kitchener-based electrical contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing compensation increases of nearly 8% over the term, including increased contributions to benefits, pension, and training funds.

J.M.R. Electric Ltd.

Over 400 Local 53 members employed by this Exeter-based electrical contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing a 13.5% total monetary increase over the term. The settlement includes wage increases of $5.50/hr., pension improvements of 1.25%, higher boot allowances, improved travel provisions, and enhanced premiums.

Labonte Concrete Ltd.

Local 52 members employed by this Corbeil-based company ratified a 3-year agreement providing wage increases of 4%, 2%, and 1.5%, along with pension and health contribution increases, improved travel allowances, and a $300 annual workwear reimbursement.

London Development Corp.

Local 52 members employed by this Etobicoke-based general contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing wage increases of up to $7.73/hr. over the term, including up to a 2% pension increase, significant benefits improvements, a $100 boot and tool allowance, paid travel time, gas reimbursement, and company vehicle provisions.

LTS Build Services Ltd.

Local 52 members employed by this Mississauga-based company ratified a 3-year agreement providing total package increases of at least 8.25% over the term. The settlement includes a $300 annual boot and workwear allowance and increased employer payments toward benefits.

McCann Redi Mix Inc.

Local 53 members employed by this Dashwood-based construction materials company ratified a 3-year agreement providing annual wage increases of 3%, 4%, and 4%, plus a 0.5% pension increase. The agreement adds a $300 annual health spending account, increased allowances, and improved mileage and coverall provisions.

Neighbourhood Electric

Local 53 members employed by this Windsor-based electrical contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with a $3/hr.  wage increase in 2026, followed by $1/hr. increases in 2027 and 2028, reaching $44/hr. by the end of the term. The agreement also includes a 2.25% increase to retirement contributions; significant improvements to benefits, including enhanced vision care, eye exam, and dental coverage; increases to the out-of-town and tool, boot, and clothing allowances, new lead-hand premiums ranging from 5-15%, and improvements to mileage rates and the training fund.

O’Connor Electric

Local 6 members employed by this Kitchener-based electrical contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with total compensation increases of 10.5% over the term, including employer contributions to the CLAC Pension Plan increasing to 16% of gross earnings and improvements to travel allowances, life and dependent life insurance, vision care, dental care, and paramedical services.

Pro Trades Mechanical Inc.

Local 53 members employed by this Windsor-based mechanical contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with 13.85% wage increases over the term, a 1.5% increase to pension contributions, and improvements to vision care, life insurance, AD&D, and paramedical coverage and the addition of major restorative benefits. Members will also see an increase to the travel allowance from $50 to $65, the introduction of 15- and 25-year vacation pay milestones, changes to combine boot and uniform allowances for greater flexibility, and a daily meal allowance for out-of-town work exceeding 10.5 hours.

Rutherford Contracting Ltd.

Local 52 members employed by this Aurora-based general contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing them with 12.8% total package increases and a 1% retirement contribution increase in year 3. Other improvements include enhanced benefits, higher premiums, and increased training fund contributions.

Villano Construction Ltd.

Local 52 members employed by this Sudbury-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing annual wage increases of 4%, 3%, and 3%, expanded vacation pay, a $500 annual PPE reimbursement, one paid personal emergency day, and increased training fund contributions.
