Ratifications

Dielco Electric Ltd.
Local 53 members employed by this London-base contractor ratified a first agreement. The 3-year contract establishes a full spectrum of union contract benefits including annual wage increases, their first healthcare benefits, and their first pension benefits. Other notable aspects include vacation pay increases, paid work time for health and safety training courses, and an annual workwear and safety footwear allowance.

Expert Electrical Solutions Inc.
Local 53 members employed as electricians and apprentices by this Belle River-based contractor unanimously ratified a 3-year agreement providing wage increases ranging between 1.4-2.5 percent. In addition, members will receive a 1% increase in employer contributions to their retirement savings plan and tool allowance increases ranging from $50 to $100.

J & S Mechanical Incorporated 
Local 52 members employed as plumbers and apprentices by this Newmarket-based contractor unanimously ratified their first agreement. The 3-year contract includes significant wage increases as well as the introduction of the CLAC Pension Plan and health benefits plan.

Masse Contracting Group Inc.
Local 53 members employed by this Tecumseh-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing over 1.4% annual wage and pension increases, as well as increases to the tool allowance and benefits.

Matheson Constructors Limited
Local 52 members employed by this Aurora-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing significant wage increases and paid bereavement leave.

OConnor Electric
Local 6 members employed by this Kitchener-based contractor ratified a 2-year wage opener providing them with $1.25/hr. total package increase in both years.

Onyx Electrical, A Division of Onyx Fire Protection Services, Inc.
Local 52 members employed as electricians by this Mississauga-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing total compensation increases of up to 8% over the term. The contract includes 2% annual wage increases, substantial increases to pension, improved vision-care coverage, and a new parental leave day.

Pro Electric Inc.
Local 53 members employed by this London-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing an overall increase of 10.3% for journeypersons over the term, a value of $5.10/hr. The contract also provides a 2% pension increase and improved healthcare benefits coverage for orthotics and dental annual claims. Working forepersons will also gain significant improvement in the form of a responsibility premium set as high as 20%.

Rock Electric Inc.
Local 52 members employed by this Etobicoke-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing $1.25/hr. wage increase in year 1 and $1/hr. in years 2 and 3 plus improvements to travel. 

Romag Contracting Ltd.
Local 52 members employed by this Mississauga-based contractor ratified a 3-year agreement providing wage increases of  2.5% in year 1, 3% in year 2, 3% in year 3.
