Ratifications

Caressant Care

Local 304 registered nurses employed by this home in Harriston ratified a 2-year agreement providing annual 1.5% wage increases over the term and improvements to their benefits plan, including vision care, life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Improvements were also made to weekend and shift premiums, uniform allowances, and responsibility payment. In addition, members can now substitute recognized statutory holidays with ones that are relevant to their culture or religious observations.

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance

Local 303 members ratified a 3-year agreement providing improvements to wages, weekend premiums, and health benefits. Improvements were also made to seniority provisions and working flexibility for members.

Christian Horizons

CLAC members ratified their first agreement with 95 percent voting in favour. The 3-year contract introduces a new system for scheduling as well as a pension plan. It also guarantees a minimum 3% in wage increases.

Maple Court, Oxford Manor, Park Place, and Tillsonburg Retirement Residences

Local 303 members employed by these four homes owned by Lifetimes received an interest arbitration award last month providing 2% wage increases for two years and paramedical and vision coverage improvements.
