Monday, January 29, 2024 Randen Electrical Systems Employees Unanimously Ratify New Contract Locals Local 6 Ratifications Sectors Construction Grimsby, ON—Employees of Randen Electrical Systems, based in Grimsby, unanimously ratified a two-year collective agreement providing them with significant improvements. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 6. The union has represented them since June 2019. The new contract provides employees with 11.6 percent total package increases for journeyperson electricians over the two-year term of the agreement. The package includes increases to wages, employer contributions to employees’ pension plan, and vacation pay. The annual safety equipment allowance was also increased by $50 bringing it up to $250. “This is a solid agreement for our members providing them with the improvements they were looking for,” says Ben Hirst, CLAC representative. “We’re pleased that it received unanimous approval from the membership.” Randen Electrical Systems provides electrical contracting services in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sector throughout the GTA, Hamilton, Niagara, and Halton region.
