Friday, December 2, 2016 Pro Pipe Employees Join CLAC Locals Local 52 Newsletters Ratifications Sectors Construction Timmins, ON – Local 52 members at this Timmins- based company ratified a first agreement this summer. After a decade of representation by another union, these workers in the pipe trades joined CLAC. A dozen workers are employed now but we expect that with the CLAC advantage, the company will employ four times that number. Pro Pipe is already a piping sub-trade to CLAC general contractors such as NAC and Maple Reinders in Ontario and in other provinces. The new three-year contract provides two-percent wage increases, 10 percent vacation pay, CLAC benefits, employer pension contributions of 10 percent by end of contract, and training contributions. Local 52 particularly appreciates the work of Yves Lamothe on the bargaining committee.
