Thursday, March 8, 2018 Press for Progress March 8 is International Women's Day News Today is International Women’s Day, a day celebrated for over a century around the world to recognize women’s achievements and push for greater gender equality. This year’s theme is #pressforprogress—a call to action for us all to press forward during this coming year and progress gender parity. Today, and every day, CLAC is committed to celebrating and championing women in the workforce. We are grateful for all the many roles, responsibilities, and jobs our female members take on across our country. We will continue to represent our female members at opportunities like the Women’s Empowerment Summit and partnering with great organizations like Women Building Futures. We know that change is still necessary and we will continue to press that it happens now.
