Tuesday, August 4, 2020 Prebudget Consultations in Advance of the Upcoming Federal Budget CLAC’s recommendations on behalf of members working in long term care and construction Policy Briefs Sectors Healthcare Construction In a recent submission to the federal government, CLAC made the following two recommendations on behalf of its members working in the long term care sector and the construction industry in advance of the upcoming federal budget: Recommendation 1 That the government provide additional targeted and long term funding to the provinces for front-line long term care staffing. Recommendation 2 That the government ensure all capital and infrastructure projects paid for in whole or in part by federal funding be tendered to the construction market using fair and open tendering practices.
