Tuesday, May 13, 2025 Power Shotcrete Shoring Employees Unanimously Ratify New Contract Local 68 Ratifications Construction LANGLEY, BC—Local 68 members employed by Power Shotcrete Shoring Ltd., a concrete contractor based in Langley, BC, voted unanimously in favour of ratifying a three-year collective agreement providing them with annual wage increases and other improvements. The new contract provides the approximately 90 members with an immediate six percent wage increase followed by five percent increases in 2026 and 2027. Long term employees receive a 10 percent increase to employer contributions to their RSP, and the first aid level three premium was doubled. Employees working less than four hours will be paid for a minimum of four hours, and employees working more than four hours but less than eight will be paid for a minimum of eight hours. The agreement also includes significant improvements to overall contract language for clarity and consistency. A review of the benefits plan will take place on or before March 1, 2026, to discuss upgrading the plan.
