Wednesday, June 8, 2022 Percon Employees Unanimously Ratify New Contract Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Etobicoke, ON—Labourers employed by Percon Construction Inc., based in Etobicoke, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with solid wage gains during these inflationary times. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52. The union has represented them since August 2006. The new contract provides employees with a 10 percent wage increase over the term. In addition, employer contributions to employees’ pension plan increased by 0.5 percent, and the life insurance benefit amount was increased. “The union bargaining committee worked hard to secure solid wages and pension contributions for the members while the cost of living continues to increase,” says Josh Vanderlaan, CLAC representative. Percon is a general contractor specializing in mid- to large-size industrial, commercial, and institutional projects across a range of sectors throughout the GTA.
