Tuesday, August 26, 2025 Penalta Group Employees Unanimously Ratify New Agreement Local 52 Ratifications Construction OAKVILLE, ON—Local 52 members employed as labourers by Penalta Group Ltd., a general contractor based in Oakville, Ontario, unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage increases and other improvements. The new contract provides members with a 12.6 percent total package increase. It also provides three paid sick days per year and includes the introduction of the CLAC Vacation Pay Trust. Penalta Group provides services primarily in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sector of the construction industry. The company is active throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. Local 52 was certified by the Ontario Labour Relations Board to represent the company’s employees in April 2018.
