Monday, September 12, 2022 Penalta Group Employees Unanimously Ratify Contract Providing Significant Wage Increases Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Oakville, ON—Local 52 members employed by Penalta Group Ltd. unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage increases and other improvements. The local has represented the group since 2019. The new contract provides members with first-year wage increases ranging between 13.5 and 24 percent. Thereafter, members will receive a 4.5 percent increase in years two and three. In addition, work on Sundays will be paid at double time, employer contributions to the pension plan will increase by 2 percent to 13 percent, and the annual boot allowance will increase by $100 (from $200 to $300).
