PCL Builders Employees Ratify New Two-Year Contract

Calgary—Local 63 members employed by PCL Builders Inc. (PCL’s commercial division) ratified a two-year collective agreement.

With the new contract, the journeyperson carpenter rate rises to $41 per hour. Other improvements include an increase in the boot allowance to $200 and $225 in 2026, the addition of custom ear plug or prescription safety eyewear reimbursement at $200 and $225 in 2026, and contract language improvements.

The new agreement covers over 200 members, with road building and heavy construction collective agreements now rolled into the general contractor agreement.
