Friday, August 25, 2017 Patients First! News Newsletters CLAC recently submitted a detailed submission to the Ontario government outlining the lack of resources available to front-line caregivers working in the province’s long term care homes. Our goal is to push the government to increase funding to the nursing and personal care envelope by four percent over the next three years and eliminate redundant documentation. Our Patients First Committee has also met with Brian Pollard and Karen Simpson from the Ministry of Health to bring forward our concerns in the areas of funding, documentation, and technology. We will continue to advocate for the changes we need to help staff and residents in long term care. Please visit clac.ca/patientsfirst and sign the petition to show your support for combating pressures in Ontario’s long term care system.
