Wednesday, November 4, 2020 Pandemic Ducks Locals Local 305 Newsletters Ontario Healthcare Earlier this year, near the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Local 305 member Heather Birch lifted the spirits of her Riverbend Place Senior’s Community coworkers by creating tiny, adorable "pandemic ducks" in their likenesses, each bearing a standard-issue mask plus spray bottles, wipes, and other personal identifiers. Fifty-five critters later, and the ducks are now famous! “I was just trying to bring happiness to us all in this difficult time,” says Heather. “They made me laugh, smile, and be creative, and my days were better because it took the fear of COVID away.” Do you know of a CLAC member who has gone above and beyond to bring joy to those around them during the pandemic?
