Nuna Logistics Employees’ Latest Collective Agreement Provides Significant Wage Increases

Sudbury, ON—This summer, employees of Nuna Logistics Limited in Sudbury, ON, voted overwhelmingly in favour of a new three-year collective agreement that provides significant increases to both wages and vacation pay.

The 380 members are employed by Nuna as equipment operators, mechanics, truck drivers, and labourers. They have been represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52 since September 2019.

With the new contract, all classifications will receive at least a $4 per-hour increase, plus an additional $3 in 2023 and a wage review in 2024. A 10-percent increase to vacation pay was also secured.

“We were able to achieve enhancements for our members at Nuna, increasing their wages and vacation pay for all employees,” says Gord O’Coin, CLAC representative. “Special thanks to our bargaining committee who helped us win this hard-fought battle.”
