Monday, July 16, 2018 Northec Construction Workers to See Wages, Pensions Improve with New Contract Local 52 Ratifications Timmins, ON—Members of CLAC Local 52 working at Northec Construction Inc. recently ratified a new three-year collection agreement. Highlights of the contract include: a 1 percent increase to employer contributions to pensions, bringing it up to 8 percent; a PPE allowance payout increase to four times per year; wages increases of 1.5, 2 and 2 percent over the three-year agreement. The bargaining unit has approximately 200 members working in various trades, including equipment operators, mechanics, carpenters, welders, and skilled labourers.
