New Contract for Local 53 Members at Velocity Mechanical

Cambridge, ON—Members of Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 53, employed by Velocity Mechanical Inc., recently ratified a renewal collective agreement.

The three-year contract includes increases to wages, benefits, and pension contributions.

“The negotiations went well and we are pleased with the results,” says Jonathan Schat, CLAC representative. “We were able to meet the needs and the priorities of the membership while maintaining their ability to be competitive in this market.”

Employees of Velocity joined Local 53 in 2011. They perform mechanical work throughout southern Ontario.
