Wednesday, September 5, 2018 New Contract Brings Significant Gains to Members at Can-Am Pipe Works Locals Local 52 Ratifications Mississauga, ON—CLAC Local 52 members employed at Can-Am Pipe Works have unanimously ratified a new three-year collective agreement. The contract includes combined increases of 10 percent in wages and employer contributions to the pension plan, an increase in vacation pay for those who have served at Can-Am Pipe Works for over 15 years, the introduction of shift change pay, and improvements to travel provisions. “The work of the bargaining committee was a vital component of the negotiation process and helped to achieve an agreement that will benefit each member at Can-Am Pipe Works,” said Joshua Vanderlaan, a CLAC Local 52 representative. “The unanimous ratification shows appreciation for the bargaining committee’s time and effort and the bargaining unit’s appreciation for the new contract.” Can-Am Pipe Works employs 10 plumbers and sprinkler fitters in the Greater Toronto Area.
