New Contract Brings Big Boost to Wages and Benefits for Hall Construction Workers

Langley, BC—Local 68 members employed by Hall Constructors Corp. overwhelmingly ratified a new three-year collective agreement. More than 150 operators, pipelayers, shoring workers, labourers, and drivers recently voted 93 percent in favour of the contract.

“The negotiations that we had with Hall were very constructive and positive,” says Robert Peck, a long-time steward and senior operator. “Ownership was more than willing to meet the wage demands of the labour market, as well as agreeing to a superior benefit package that almost doubles our current plan. The union bargaining committee was very pleased with both the process and the outcome of the 2024 negotiations.”

The members will receive a five percent wage increase in each year of the agreement, for a total of 15 percent.

Hall Constructors does heavy civil construction, underground utility installation, and excavation and shoring work in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island. Local 68 has represented its workers since 2010.
