This Act outlines wage adjustments for employees paid with funding from the Manitoba government for four years as Year 1: 0% Year 2: 0% Year 3: +.75% Year 4: +1.5% CLAC has lobbied against this kind of approach, and the law has been passed but has not yet been enacted. There is also a legal challenge against this law, so it is possible that the wage freeze will not need to happen. Local 306 has four collective agreements up for negotiation in the next six months and we’re refining our strategies in light of wage freeze legislation.
