National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Did you know?

September 30, 2021, was the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

As you may be aware, Parliament passed legislation earlier this year to make September 30 a federal statutory holiday called the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day provides an opportunity for recognition and commemoration of the legacy of residential schools. In the spirit of reconciliation, CLAC encourages members to learn about and reflect on the legacy of residential schools. Ensure this tragic history and ongoing legacy is not forgotten.
