Wednesday, December 22, 2021 Mortlock Construction Employees Secure Wage Increases, Employer Pension Contributions in New Contract Locals Local 52 Ratifications Sectors Construction Peterborough, ON—Labourers and carpenters employed by Mortlock Construction Inc. unanimously ratified a new three-year contract. The six employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 52. The union has represented them since 1973. The new contract provides a $1.05 wage increase in each of the three years of the agreement, employment pension contributions that increase annually (3.5 percent, 4.5 percent, and 5.5 percent), and an increase to the employees’ boot, tool, and clothing allowance.
