Tuesday, February 23, 2021 Mental Health Meeting Newsletters Ontario Emergency Services In early 2021, CLAC Ontario Director Ian DeWaard attended a preliminary meeting with key stakeholders from fire services who will work on carrying out the Ministry of the Solicitor General’s strategy to address the prevalence of mental health issues among public safety personnel. The collaborative table will be a standing body that will be comprised of representatives from the sector, and will also include mental health professionals, unions and associations, and individuals and family members with lived experience. Addressing mental health issues is a top priority for CLAC, and having a seat at this table will be imperative.
