Mental Health First Aid Training

CLAC Training will be offering mental health first aid training (MHFA) at the Saskatoon Member Centre in November. MHFA is a comprehensive program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada that gives people the skills to provide early intervention to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

During this two-day, 12-hour course, participants will learn

  • the most common mental health illnesses and crises, including identifying signs and symptoms;
  • the steps to support an individual having a mental health crisis;
  • and how to help a person experiencing a mental health crisis get the professional help they need.

Everyone who completes the course will receive a mental health first aid certificate issued by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
