Monday, August 15, 2022 Meeting in Person Once Again! CLAC representatives were active over the summer meeting many of you in your workplace Newsletters Ontario Healthcare Sectors Healthcare With pandemic restrictions lifted in the spring, your representatives were finally able to meet with you and your fellow members in person in your facilities over the last number of months. Along with addressing your concerns, we hosted barbecues, fun days, and other appreciation events at locations across the province. This was just one small way to celebrate your achievements and honour the hard work you do day in and day out caring for our seniors and other vulnerable people. Local 303 members at Meadow Park Nursing Home in Chatham enjoyed an appreciation barbecue in August. It was great to be back inside Holland Christian Homes in Brampton. We enjoyed lots of celebration with Local 304 members and look forward to addressing your concerns. Local 304 members at Strathcona Long Term Care in Mount Forest enjoyed an appreciation barbecue in August. In August, Local 304 members at Oak Terrace in Orillia took a break with CLAC representatives. Shirts and snacks were enjoyed while we talked about the realities of working in long term care and the road ahead. Local 303 members at Sumac Lodge in Sarnia enjoyed an appreciation barbecue in August. Local 304 members at Eagle Terrace were happy to take a break with CLAC. They enjoyed a snack bag and will sport a new shirt that says it all—IT’S TIME TO HEAL HEALTHCARE! Local 304 members at Main Street Terrace in Toronto enjoyed an appreciation barbecue in August. Local 304 members at Roberta Place in Barrie were presented with gifts to celebrate Nurses Week in May. Members in the Woodstock area enjoyed the Local 303 Family Fun Day in June. A magician, face painter, and excellent food provided by Todd’s Dogs made it a memorable day for members and their families. The Local 305 Family Fun Day took place at Mohawk Park in Brantford in July. Members and their families enjoyed great food, raffles, a splash pad, balloon animals, and more!
