Wednesday, April 2, 2025 Matcon Civil Constructors Employees Secure Annual Wage Increases with New Contract Locals Local 68 Ratifications Sectors Construction LANGLEY, BC—Local 68 members employed by Matcon Civil Constructors Inc., based in Langley, BC, ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with annual wage increases and other improvements. The new contract provides members with four percent wage increases each year over the term. In addition, it provides for a better benefits package for members and their families. Other improvements include increased employer contributions to members’ retirement savings, a daily travel allowance for members travelling over 70 kilometres, and increases to the safety-gear allowance and first-aid and night-shift premiums. Language improvements were also made to the collective agreement.
