Friday, December 4, 2020 Masse Electric Employees Secure Improved Wages, Life Insurance Plan with New Three-Year Agreement Locals Local 53 Ratifications Sectors Construction Tecumseh, ON—Employees of Masse Electric Inc. have signed a new three-year contract, effective December 1, 2020. The employees are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 53. The union has represented the employees since December 2016. The new agreement includes a three-percent wage increase over the course of the contract, in addition to gains to employer-paid pension contributions. Annual increases to workwear, footwear, and tool allowances and improvements to the employee life insurance plan were also secured. “It was a positive round of bargaining and we did well at securing good gains despite these uncertain and difficult times,” says Josh Herdman, CLAC bargaining committee representative.
