Wednesday, November 29, 2023 Masse Electric Employees Ratify New Contract with Overwhelming Majority Locals Local 53 Ratifications Sectors Construction Windsor, ON—Employees of Masse Electric Inc., an electrical contractor working in the Windsor region, overwhelmingly ratified a three-year collective agreement providing them with yearly wage increases and other improvements. The 24 electricians and electrician apprentices are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 53. The union has represented them since 2016. The new contract provides annual 75¢ per hour wage increases, bringing the top journeyperson rate to $40 per hour by the end of the term. Other improvements include increases of $10 per year to both travel accommodations and allowance and $25 to the tool allowance.
