Sunday, August 30, 2026 Manitoba Jobs Agreement Changes Protect Member Choice Newsletters Manitoba Local 152 Local 152 welcomes the provincial government’s decision to amend the Manitoba Jobs Agreement (MJA) to ensure existing collective bargaining relationships are respected. The MJA connects major public infrastructure investments with local employment, apprenticeship, and training opportunities. While CLAC supports these goals, aspects of the agreement initially excluded CLAC and the collective agreements we negotiated with Penn-co Construction, the contractor that had been awarded four schools subject to the MJA. Local 152 advocated for changes that would allow our members to continue working on these projects under their CLAC collective agreement and are pleased the government listened and made adjustments that respect our member’s choice of union representation.
