Monday, October 17, 2016 Making Canada Feel Like Home Locals Local 6 Local 52 Local 53 Newsletters Sectors Construction On October 13, over 100 Syrian refugees attended a free half-day forum in labour law and workplace safety at the new Cambridge Member Centre. The event, put on by CLAC, Grand River Occupational Health and Safety, and Gowlings LLP, allowed the refugees to learn about working in their new home and meet the politicians who represent them, including the minister of immigration and several local members of Parliament. CLAC looks forward to hosting many events in the future that will benefit workers in our community.
