Sunday, September 5, 2021 Looking for Local 301 Board Nominations Newsletters Alberta Local 301 By Lee Anne Stetson, Local 301 President As per the Local 301 Constitution, one-third of Local 301 Board positions expire each year. The terms of two positions will expire on December 31, 2021. The board is therefore inviting you to submit names of possible nominees. From these suggestions, the board will develop a final slate as per Article 8.08 of the constitution. When presenting names of possible nominees, it is important to remember that “no one shall be nominated who is not a member in good standing of the local, has not indicated a willingness to serve if elected, is not qualified to give leadership that is in harmony with the constitution, or whose conduct reflects unfavorably upon CLAC or its locals.” (Article 12.07) Names of possible nominees should be sent to the Local 301 Board, care of the Edmonton Member Centre: Mail CLAC Edmonton Member Centre 14920 118 Ave Edmonton, AB T5V 1B8 Fax (780) 451-3976 Email edmonton@clac.ca The board will then prepare a final slate of qualified candidates. For it to do so, nominations must be received on or before noon, November 15, 2021, at the Edmonton Member Centre. Ballots will be distributed to all members as soon as possible after that date.
