Friday, October 13, 2023 Lomak Employees Secure Significant Wage Increases with New Contract Locals Local 66 Ratifications Sectors Transportation and Warehousing Prince George, BC—Employees of Lomak Bulk Carriers Corp., based in Prince George, ratified a five-year collective agreement providing them with significant wage increases. The approximately 130 employees are represented by Transport, Marine, Warehousing, and Allied Workers Union, CLAC Local 66. The union has represented Lomak employees since 1993. The new contract provides employees with wage increases ranging from six to nine percent in the first year. Thereafter, employees will receive significant increases for the remainder of the contract. The agreement also provides employees with increases to employer contributions to their pension plan, gear allowances, and vacation. “The union bargaining committee did an excellent job securing the wage increases the membership was seeking due to the current rise in the cost of living,” says Jeremy Thompson, CLAC representative. “Along with increases to their pensions, it provides our members with a greater degree of financial security.” You might be interested in Why We Work Safely 5 Jun 2026 Standing Your Ground, and Staying Steady on the Job 4 Jun 2026 CLAC Partners with Alberta Government to Advance Skilled Trades Training and Accelerate Certification 4 Jun 2026 Strathcona Mechanical Workers Ratify New Agreement Providing Wage, Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026
