Local 920 Has a Fresh Name

At its annual spring meeting, the Local 920 Board passed a resolution to amend the name of the local to be more inclusive and representative of its membership.

The local was established in 2005 by volunteers serving Belleville and Quinte West and was called Eastern Ontario Volunteer Firefighter Association. Since then, the local has gained members in Sudbury, Clarence-Rockland, Midland, and Kawartha Lakes. To reflect the geographic expansion, the local is now called the Ontario Volunteer Firefighters Association, CLAC Local 920.
