Thursday, December 15, 2022 Local 68 Members Employed by Productive Construction Unanimously Ratify New Contract Locals Local 68 Ratifications Sectors Construction Surrey, BC—Local 68 members employed by Productive Construction Ltd., based in Surrey, voted unanimously in favour of a three-year collective agreement providing them with wage and other gains. The new contract provides wage increases of four percent in 2023, three percent in 2024, and an additional three percent in 2025. The premium for fall protection safety certification increased from 25 to 50 cents per hour, and a new 50-cent premium was negotiated for confined space safety certification. In addition, employer contributions to the health and welfare benefits premiums increased from $1.90 to $2.10 per hour. A number of nonmonetary improvements were also negotiated.
