The 30-month contract maintains the status quo, with wages, retirement, benefits, and all other aspects of the collective agreement remaining the same. “This is a very good settlement in a challenging market,” noted Simon Fedun, CLAC representative. “And with 90 percent voting in favour, we see the strong level of support from our members.” Of particular significance, there are 4,000 CLAC members in the bargaining unit. “This was the largest ratification for a CLAC construction group in our history,” says Simon. “In particular I would like to thank our team of stewards who were instrumental in the entire process.” “The magnitude of the process of settling an agreement of this scale was new territory for most of us involved,” says Jay Caithcart, the chief steward for the bargaining unit. “Fortunately, our team of members, stewards, and reps had a common goal. With dedication, teamwork, and some long hours, we achieved a very successful and welcomed contract. Great work, everyone!” Previous Next You might be interested in Strathcona Mechanical Workers Approve New Agreement with Wage and Scheduling Improvements 3 Jun 2026 Ready To Deliver 3 Jun 2026 The Miracle of Many Hands 2 Jun 2026 Velocity Mechanical Workers Secure New Contract with Wage and Benefit Improvements 1 Jun 2026
