Saturday, December 9, 2017 Local 63 Members at Flint Oilsands Construction Unanimously Ratify Contract Ratifications Red Deer, AB—Local 63 members employed by Flint Oilsands Construction unanimously ratified a new agreement. The contract provides wages that reflect existing Alberta and Wood Buffalo wage rates for compulsory and noncompulsory trades. The language was improved throughout the agreement, with a focus on implementing best-practice language for retirement clauses. Several site-specific issues were also addressed, as all 35 employees currently work at NOVA Chemicals near Joffre, Alberta.
