Here’s what you need to know Manitoba Local 152 On March 9, 2026, amendments to the Workplace Safety and Health Regulation were passed to ensure that all workers who need menstrual products have access to them in the workplace. These amendments will come into effect on September 1, 2026. On June 3, 2025, amendments to the Workplace Safety and Health Act were expanded to include enabling workers to work in psychologically safe workplaces. Here’s what the legislation says: Application – psychologically safe workplaces 2(3) For the objects and purposes of this Act, a psychologically safe workplace is a workplace in which the psychological well-being of workers is promoted and active measures are undertaken to prevent harm, whether negligent, reckless or intentional, to the psychological well-being of workers. The new definition of a psychologically safe workplace requires employers to take proactive measures to reduce the likelihood of psychological harm in the workplace.
