Sunday, September 5, 2021 Ledcor’s Remarkable Construction Safety Team A group of Local 68 members employed by Ledcor have been together for many years helping to provide exceptional safety leadership Locals Local 68 Newsletters BC Local 68 The 604 – The Safety OG (Original Gang) is special team in a couple of ways. First, most of the safety members are unionized with CLAC, and second, they have always worked together. This year, the team has 14 people (including 9 Local 68 members) who are achieving a milestone of 10 years of service or longer. Collectively, there are over 200 years of Ledcor safety experience, not including other team members on the same team who have served between 1 and 9 years! Over the years, not only have they safely built amazing structures throughout the Vancouver area, including the breathtaking skyline in downtown Vancouver, but they have also built a team, which to them has resulted in long-lasting friendships they call family. As each team member joined, the existing team embraced them immediately, empowered one another, maintained open communication, provided continual support, and established trust, building a culture of caring for one another and the community around them. Here are the Local 68 members who serve as project safety coordinators on Ledcor’s Vancouver Construction Safety Project Team.
