Thursday, June 11, 2026 Ledcor Road Maintenance Workers Secure Wage and Allowance Increases in New Collective Agreement Local 68 Ratifications Construction FORT NELSON, BC—Employees of Ledcor Road Maintenance Ltd., a road maintenance and infrastructure services provider in northern British Columbia, ratified a three-year collective agreement delivering wage increases and enhanced allowances. The employees are represented by Construction and Allied Workers Union, CLAC Local 68, which has represented the company’s workforce since 2022. The group voted 95 percent in favour of the new collective agreement, which includes a three percent wage increase in the first year, along with wage reviews in years two and three. The agreement also includes a 0.5 percent increase to matching pension contributions and a two percent increase to vacation pay after 10,400 hours of service. Additional improvements include an increase to the reimbursable safety allowance from $250 to $400 per year, a meal allowance increase from $50 to $60 per day, and enhanced premiums for stewards, leadhands, and forepersons. “This agreement reflects the priorities of our members and delivers meaningful improvements across wages, benefits, and workplace supports,” says Brian Silvester, representative. “The strong ratification vote shows members recognize the value of these gains and the progress made at the bargaining table.” Ledcor Road Maintenance Ltd. provides highway maintenance, road repair, and infrastructure services across northern British Columbia, including Fort Nelson and surrounding communities.
