Ledcor Marine Workers Secure Wage and Benefits Gains in New Contract

Richmond, BC—Workers at Ledcor Resources and Transportation, a marine transportation and support services provider operating across British Columbia, ratified a new collective agreement delivering wage increases, enhanced allowances, and improved benefits.

The employees are represented by Transport, Marine, Warehousing, and Allied Workers Union, CLAC Local 66, which has represented them since 2010.

The group voted overwhelmingly in favour of the agreement, which includes year-one wage increases averaging five percent across classifications. In years two and three, the agreement provides a minimum increase of 2.5 percent annually.

The agreement also introduces new senior master and mechanic classifications set at two percent above the base rates. Additional improvements include enhanced gear allowance and vision coverage, and a new continuous vessel incentive.

“This was a productive and collaborative round of bargaining,” says Robert Schmidt, CLAC representative. “The committee put in a tremendous amount of work, and the result is an agreement that reflects the members’ priorities with meaningful improvements to wages, allowances, and working conditions.”

Ledcor Resources and Transportation provides marine transportation, logistics, and vessel support services across coastal and inland operations in British Columbia.
