Last Chance to Transfer Health Fund Money to Pension Fund

Information for CLAC's Ontario construction members

Health funds may no longer be transferred into pension plans after 2017. This is caused by a new interpretation of the law by the Canada Revenue Agency, not a change in CLAC policy. The last transfer from your health fund to your CLAC pension account will occur this fall. You will get further notice as the time approaches.

CLAC reps and stewards are examining your collective agreements to determine if adjustments to health fund contributions are needed. If you have any questions, please talk to your steward.
