J & S Mechanical Employees Unanimously Ratify First Agreement

Newmarket, ON—Local 52 members employed as plumbers and apprentices by J & S Mechanical Incorporated unanimously ratified their first collective agreement.

The three-year contract includes significant wage increases as well as the introduction of the CLAC Pension Plan and health benefits plan.

“This agreement represents a huge step forward for these new CLAC members,” says Robert Brink, representative. “The wage improvements are substantial, and with the introduction of the CLAC Pension Plan, they’ll have retirement savings for the first time. We also introduced their first health and welfare benefits plan, which is really exciting.”

J & S Mechanical provides plumbing services throughout the GTA in the residential and ICI sectors of the construction industry.
