Integral Energy Services Employees Vote Strongly in Favour of Ratifying New Agreement

AIRDRIE, AB—Local 63 members employed by Integral Energy Services Ltd., based in Airdrie, Alberta, voted 78 percent in favour of ratifying a two-year collective agreement that brings solid wage improvements and enhanced benefits for members working across Alberta.

Local 63 has represented the company’s employees since 2006.

Commercial electricians in Calgary will see their base rate rise by 2.5 percent, bringing journeyperson wages to $40.50 per hour, while those working on industrial projects in the Fort McMurray region will move up to $50.50 per hour. In addition, members working in the Calgary commercial division will see a 1.25 percent increase to their pension contributions, boosting contributions to 3.75 percent each to RSP and pension plans. A wage review is scheduled for February 2027.

The agreement also includes valuable language improvements. Notably, bereavement leave has been expanded to include pregnancy loss, providing important recognition and support for affected members and their families.

“This agreement shows continued progress for our members at Integral,” says Izzy Huygen, CLAC western Canada construction coordinator. “The wage increases and benefits improvements reflect the hard work these members do every day in demanding environments, and the added compassion in the new leave language is something we’re proud to see included.”

Integral Energy Services employs approximately 120 Local 63 members. The company provides electrical and instrumentation services across Alberta, with around 15 members working on commercial projects in Calgary and the remainder on industrial projects in Fort McMurray at sites including Suncor Base Plant, Imperial Oil Kearl, CNRL Horizon, and CNRL Albian Sands.
