Tuesday, November 28, 2023 Integral Energy Services Employees Overwhelmingly Ratify New Contract Locals Local 63 Ratifications Sectors Construction Fort McMurray, AB—Employees of Integral Energy Services overwhelmingly ratified a 26-month collective agreement, with 92 percent voting in favour. The approximately 250 electricians are represented by Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 63. The union has represented them since 2006. In the Wood Buffalo region, the new contract provides a 4.3 percent increase to the base wage rate, bringing it to $48.30 per hour. And the base wage rate for maintenance employees working on a compressed shift cycle increases to $49.09 per hour. Calgary commercial electricians will receive a four percent increase. “Negotiations were very positive,” says Izzy Huygen, CLAC representative. “The settlement was well received by the membership, as indicated by the strong yes vote.” Integral Energy Services is currently working at five different industrial sites in the Wood Buffalo region, and there is a commercial group in Calgary.
