Tuesday, January 3, 2017 Honouring Fallen Firefighters Locals Local 911 Local 920 Newsletters Sectors Emergency Medical Services Locals 911 and 920 are long-standing supporters of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (CFFF)—jointly contributing at the gold level of $4,000. The CFFF recognizes firefighters who lost their lives both in active duty and due to work-related illnesses, and supports their families. This past fall, Local 911 President Paul Leggatt and his wife attended the CFFF Family Dinner for the sponsors and the families being honoured. At the dinner, Local 911 and 920 were each presented with a plaque thanking us for our contribution. The CFFF events not only provide an opportunity to honour those who gave their lives protecting public safety, they also provide firefighters the opportunity to connect with other firefighters from around the country. Local 911 and 920 are proud to support the foundation in their ongoing efforts to recognize the fallen.
